'Within ten years' before 1987.
Copper alloy gilded ring brooch, 13th century. Inscribed on both faces.
One: ID (S?) RD + SM LORANCI (last seven letters face outwards). The other: two animal heads in low relief on opposite sides, and quatrefoil midway between them; inscribed NR NRNR on other half ring.
Identified by S. Margeson (NCM) 1 March 1987.
