Summary

Metal detecting in 1987 recovered an unusual and elaborately decorated Late Saxon copper alloy strap end with traces of white enamel, part of a large scatter of finds in the area.

Bronze strap end. Elaborate relief decoration with traces of decoration of white enamel; 4.3cm long, 2cm maximum width. 9th century, extremely unusual.
