Summary

Systematic fieldwalking in 1986-7 found a large collection of pottery sherds including a Roman base sherd, medieval green glazed Grimston Ware pieces as well as 17th and 19th fragments.

Finder's dissertation enlarges on this to say one hundred sherds of 13th-15th century ware were found, and much 17th and 19th century pottery, but no 16th century.
