Full Description
May - June 1987. Found with metal detector and fieldwalking. North of road, northwest of barn shown on 6in Ordnance Survey.
Small flint gritted Iron Age sherd; Ipswich ware rim sherd; Thetford type wares Roman greyware rim sherd; early medieval rim and other medieval sherds; decorated bronze strip, possibly part of book clasp, very worn, medieval;
Medieval bronze key with hollow stem and decorated bow (polaroid); Iron key of medieval or post medieval date. X-ray done by NCM; medieval bronze buckle (polaroid); medieval bronze vessel rim; post medieval Bellarmine sherd and Staffordshire blackglaze base.
Medieval sherds are held by NCM, formerly by member of the public [1] who retains others.
