Summary

Metal detecting and fieldwalking at this location in 1986 and 1988 recovered a variety of metal objects and pottery sherds. Finds of note include a cut halfpenny of Henry III, Late Roman coarseware sherds, a groat of Henry VI and a post medieval bronze finial.

One medieval sherd; Cut halfpenny long cross Henry III, London mint 1247-1278.

Groat of Henry VI annulet 1422-7, annulets by bust and in two quarters of reverse. See for comparison North 1424 Calais mint. Late medieval or early post medieval candle holder and belt mount with spikes for attachment; 14th
century bronze strap end spacer plate. Fragment of medieval bronze vessel.
Early post medieval looped buckle; post medieval bronze finial; two green glazed Grimston sherds.
