Map

1984. Fieldwalking.
Worked flints found by [1] (finder's Site No. 210c). Initially few details were known about these find, the only information being a note written on a NCM map sheet (S1). It does however appear that at least two Mesolithic worked flints were recovered here:

A flint core tablet [rejuvenation flake] was donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1999.1.32.87).

A tranchet axehead examined by R. Jacobi also appears to have been recovered at this site. This object is described in (S2) as a medium tranchet adze with a tranchet blow on each side. The finder's site number and grid reference listed (TG 131 062) place it at this location.

Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 13 March 2014.
