Full Description
June to July 1987. Circular pond with central island dug out. Find from spoil with metal detecting.
Lead weight shieldshaped, square hole at top, lion in relief, weight 122.6 gram. Medieval.
22 July 1987. Site visit by A. Rogerson (NAU).
Chalk and in places silty sand natural.
No features noted in edge of pond.
From edge, occasional finds: 5 medieval unglazed, 2 unglazed Grimston, 1 glazed Grimston.
1 fragment peg roof tile.

3 medieval copper alloy buckles; 4 post medieval copper alloy buckles and fragment of harness fitting.
