Full Description
23 July 1987 (not on 6in Ordnance Survey). Area 34m east-west, 18m north-south stripped for tennis court, levelled into south facing slope so that southern edge about 10cm deep and northern 1m deep.
No archaeological features seen in natural weathered chalk with numerous linear sandy features or stripes.
Finds from weathered surface of stripped area and spoil heap:
One sherd Roman amphora; one dark grey sherd unidentified; eleven flints including one core.
Finds held by NCM, formerly by fieldwork staff (A. Rogerson (NAU)).
