Summary

This was the site of a small settlement during the medieval period, which was first mentioned in a late 13th century document. Field walking recovered prehistoric flints, pottery dating from the medieval and post medieval periods, and a lava quern of unknown date.

Roman sherds, post medieval sherds, worked flint; lava.

This settlement is recorded as Medieval in (S2), and is first recorded in a late 13th century document, when it was leased at the annual rent of one clove of garlic.
