Summary

Linear and curvilinear features of unknown date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. Fragments of pottery dating from the late prehistoric to the medieval periods have been found by fieldwalking. This is also the crash site of a B-17 bomber, which crashed in 1945, killing all nine crew members.

Context 2 at TF 7360 0476 concentration of pieces of aicraft noted, probably a crash.

This is the crash site of a USAAF B-17, which crashed shortly after take off on 2 January 1945, with the loss of all nine crew members.
