Summary

In 1987 a large collection of medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds, including medieval Grimston Ware and post-medieval stoneware, were recovered from the ground surface. In 2015 a Mesolithic flint blade and Neolithic flaked axehead were recovered during metal-detecting. The concentration of pottery at this site suggests 12th-13th century occupation.
