22 November 1987. Fenland fieldwalking, winter barley, height OK at present.
Context 1.
General scatter odd sherds Roman pottery.
Context 2 at 5820 0046.
Concentration of Roman pot sparse to moderate, few fragments of briquetage the odd fragment of bone.
On top and southeast side of southeast levee of major roddon which represents Fen Causeway.
Material also spreads into central depression between levees.
Minimum 47m northeast to southwest x 32m northwest to southeast at 1.8m OD.
Also one medieval sherd.

Small concentration Roman pottery sparse to moderate on south levee of roddon.
25m northeast to southwest x 30m northwest to southeast approximately at 1.8m OD.
