November 1987. Hole dug by Anglian Water Authority 2m square.
Two large tracery fragments at 3m deep, with traces of laid cobble surface below oyster shells. Fragments seem to come from large geometric or curvilinear window (subdivisions of decorated style - 14th century. E. Rose (NAU)). Third fragment glimpsed behind shuttering on west side hole. Material: shelly limestone.
Hole just west of visible break in quay wall, where brick built quay curves away to north and is continued in wood. Level with KLAS Period IV river line 1500-1600.
