Summary

Fragments of Roman pottery and quern stones were used to line the edge of a pond. The house was formerly owned by Frank Curtis, a local archaeologist, and it is likely that these finds come from his excavations and fieldwalking.

Redeposited finds. Former home of Frank Curtis. Pond in garden made from fragments of saddle querns, Roman sherds etc. from Frank Curtis' excavations and fieldwork, and no doubt many losses in garden.
