Summary

Metal detecting recovered three silver and copper alloy Iron Age coins, a Roman wheel-headed stud, a Roman button and loop fastener, a Roman teardrop-shaped mount and a Roman copper alloy fastener. These were sold in Watton but are thought to come from 'east of Threxton church near the sewage works'. The exact location of this discovery is unclear.

1987. Purchased as from Watton, but A. Gregory (NAU) suggested from site NHER 4697, now said to come from location [1].
Coin of Tasciovanus, type 192 in (S1), obverse head right TASCIODIAS reverse centaur with pipes.
Silver minim, not familiar type ([2] says North Thames group) reverse horse left, obverse head with spiky hair.
Iceni silver boar horse type B 408 in (S1).
Roman wheel headed stud, religious?
Button loop fastener with rectangular button, 1st to 2nd century AD.
Teardrop shaped mount with concentric circles, early Roman.
Bronze fastener?
Identified by A. Gregory (NAU) from (S2) only.
