Full Description
24 March 1988. Fenland fieldwalking, weathered ploughsoil and broken up soil, reasonable conditions.
Context 1: general scatter odd flints from island. Site SHD AZ.
Context 2 (at 6995 1043): concentration sparse flints and sparse pot boilers but evenly spread, the former to the west of the latter. On loamy sand with gravel. Flat ground. 35m east-west x 32m north-south at 3.3m OD. Site SHD 17.
Context 3 (at 6997 1050): concentration of pot boilers, abundant, on edge of loamy sand island, no flint. 27m east-west x 28m north-south at 3.3m OD. Site SHD 18.
