Summary

Fenland fieldwalking in March 1988 recovered Neolithic flints and a projectile point. A concentration of prehistoric pot boilers was also uncovered.

17 March 1988. Fenland fieldwalking, weathered soil, young cereal.

Context 1: general scatter odd flints including projectile point. Reference NWD AT on (S1).
Flints are early Neolithic - F. Healy (NAU).

Context 2: at 6985 9712 concentration pot boilers, sparse and much fragmented, no flint. On side of sandy loam. Area 19m (north-south) x 17m (east-west) at 2.1m OD. Reference NWD 37 on (S1).
