Full Description
19 February 1988, 16 November 1989. NAU air photography.
Earthworks of possible tofts.
D. Edwards (NLA) 5 July 1990.
Under good grass cover.
Owner states land has not been ploughed in living memory.
Earthworks extend into field to south.

1996. Earthwork Survey.
Survey at 1:1000. Suggestion that this site is Swathing deserted medieval village.
Finds from arable land of the northeast part of site:
South angle of field:
10 medieval pottery sherds (1 rim and 4 body sherds medieval unglazed, 1 ?medieval glazed and 4 glazed Grimston).
West half of field towards road:
5 medieval pottery sherds (3 body sherds and 1 base medieval unglazed and 1 glazed Grimston).
