SNF57204 (Record Card) - Ordnance Survey Record Cards

A card index of sites and finds maintained by the Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division to inform mapping of the county. The index is organized by Ordnance Survey quarter sheet and sites within each quarter sheet are numbered. It is believed that the index was begun by Roy Rainbird Clarke (1914-1963) around 1933 when he became the Norfolk correspondent for the Ordnance Survey and these cards continued to be used at least into the 1970's.
