Ditched bowl on south and west side, about 3m wide on south.
Mound about 14m diameter, ditch probably 20cm wide on west and 15cm deep.
Dark circle of grass in centre.
Discovered by R. R. Clarke (NCM)
Visited by L. Grinsell (NCM) and R. R. Clarke (NCM) 17 June 1936.
A fine Roman coin of Tetricus I and 'prehistoric' pottery was found on site of [1]'s house in 1936 or 1937 and may have come from tumulus near to house according to A. Q. Watson (NCM)
April 1937.
Highest of the two tumulii planted with trees and surrounded with reed fence.
Few fragments of Bronze Age pottery lying about as well as bones, presumably thrown out in tree planting.
Pottery sent to London by [1].
R. R. Clarke (NCM)

A. J. Lawson (NAU) February 1975.
21 May 1985.
Observed from fence.
Appeared less significant than in 1975.
J. J. Wymer (NAU)
1995.
Schedule gives as 14m across by 1.1m high.
Now scheduled as one with site NHER 6132.

In fair condition, trees planted in 1937 do not seem to present any threat of uprooting.
One gorse bush may be cut under a projected Section 17 agreement.
No evident rabbit disturbance.
H. Paterson (A&E), 2 September 2002.
Section 17 Management Agreement signed 28 November 2002.
H. Paterson (A&E), 9 December 2002.
December 2002. Norfolk NMP.
The earthwork remains of a Bronze Age round barrow is visible on Blakeney Downs on a variety of aerial photographs including Hunting Survey 1969 (S1) and, BKS 1988 (S2) vertical aerial photographs and NLA oblique images from 1993 (S6), 1990 (S4), 1989 (S5) and 1977 (S3). This site is scheduled together with the nearby site of NHER 6132 (a slightly larger round barrow), they are scheduled under Scheduled Monument County Number NF221 or Scheduled Monument National Number 21377.
This barrow is centred on NGR TG0186 4365 and has a diameter of approximately 13m and there appears to be a slight ditch around it, although this is not excessively clear particularly around the northern edge. Trees are growing on top of the barrow and these are causing a shadow across the northern side, making that area less clear.
H. Clare (NMP), 19 December 2002.
March 2008.
Section 17 agreement renewed, backdated to November 2007.
See (S7).
D. Robertson (NLA), 20 March 2008.
