Full Description
Tumulus found on The Hangings 275m (300 yds) north of gravel pit.
Diameter about 22 paces, 1m (3 ft) high, slight ditch. Covered with bracken.

Diameter 44m (145 ft) height 1m (4.5ft).

1941.
Late Bronze Age pottery (forty sherds) ploughed out - probably native type of cinerary urn.
The scraper is not mentioned as associated in (S1).
Chipped flint scraper 'associated'.

The sherds were donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1942.2) and are illustrated in (S2), where they are described as being from a Biconical Urn.
Mound 15m diameter, 1m high covered in bracken on heath.

Condition as above. Under grass with one gorse bush on mound. On waste land, fenced off from golf course. No trace of
ditch.

Mound clearly visible. Largely clear of vegetation on heath, but a few small gorse bushes on top. No obvious changes since November 1976. A few rabbit burrows penetrate the mound, mainly to the south-west.

Tumulus remains on rough ground on edge of golf course, covered in bracken and grass, with four gorse bushes. Two small birch trees and one conifer have been planted on summit, and a path laid along east edge. This has flattened the profile slightly. No evident rabbit infestation.
