Summary

The remains of a standing stone cross, located on the village green and thought to mark the route to the village church. The cross is mainly 14th century in date with some later additions, and consists of a stepped base, a socket stone and the lower part of the shaft.

Cross. Consists of round ((S1) says once octagonal) shaft set in socket stone, on another which (S1) says is modern. Whole is on a large base, recently repointed rather badly, which has faint carving on east side. Cross was re-erected in 1868 by Mr. Hoff, many of the stones being scattered around the village.
