Map

1970.
Iron slag picked up in finder's garden.
R. R. Clarke (NCM).

The spot as marked on the NHER map is not a garden, nor ever has been. The most up to date OS 1:2500 map does not give the name Springbank to any of the houses opposite on the north side of the road, though a couple are unnamed. Is this location inaccurate therefore, or did the finder use part of the field as a garden, and the name of the house has changed?
E. Rose (NLA), 6 October 1997.

August 2005.
Should be No 2 Prince of Wales Road. 'Springbank' was the former name of the house where the find was made.

J. Allen (NLA), 26 August 2005.
