Brickyard located from 1880 6in Ordnance Survey. A large concern with several sheds at head of dyke, served by wherries. According to (S1) there was another brickyard in Surlingham near the ferry, but this is not marked on any 19th century map in NLHL and may be a mistake. This grid reference was the main 'Surlingham brickyard'.
