Previously recorded under NHER 11666. All ring ditches mapped and given separate numbers (NHER 56265-7 and 57877-81). NO LONGER RECORDED UNDER THIS NUMBER. THIS APPLIES TO LINEARS.

In this field and fields immediately to north, south and west.
Cropmarks of at least four ring ditches - possibly more - beside linear marks, some double, running northwest to southeast. At least one of these cuts a ring ditch.
Checked by E. Rose (NAU), 19 October 1976.

No traces on field of ploughed-in stubble.
E. Rose (NAU), 15 September 1977.

15 July 1996. NLA air photography.
NGR amended from location [4].
Ring ditches and linears still visible.
Cropmarks can be seen to continue to the west, where the linears appear to form a series of rectilinear enclosed areas, possibly relating settlement and field system.
A trackway can also be seen to the north of these features.
S. Massey (NLA), 18 October 2001.

June 2022. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
The cropmarks of a series of field boundaries, boundary ditches, trackways and possible enclosures (see above) of an unknown date, can be seen on aerial photographs (S1-S4). The date of the features is uncertain. It’s possible that some of the features may date to the medieval to post medieval period whilst others may be earlier in date. Some of the possible field boundaries appear to cross three earlier Bronze Age ring ditches (NHER 56265, 56266, 65627) which form part of a dispersed barrow cemetery (NHER 56267) recorded in close proximity. It is possible that some of the mapped features in the west of the record may relate to former drainage ditches. The monument polygon has been updated to the extent of the features as seen on S1-S4.
J. Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 08 June 2022.
