Prehistoric annular stone macehead with hourglass perforation. Shown by finder to Ordnance Survey Inspectors, 3 February 1976.
This is likely to be what would now be commonly described as a pebble macehead. These objects are not closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.
