Full Description
Dated to 1633 on Ordnance Survey maps and by (S1), but this appears to be a mistake based on the clamp irons which really say 1683.
R. Rickett (NAU).
December 1951. Listed, Grade II.
Dated 1683, refurbished 1861. Brick, rough E-plan, west wing and porch of 1861. Two storeys and attics. Nine bay façade of Victorian imitation windows, some in original openings. Single storey 19th century canted bays on wing ends. Original plat band with ovolo moulded lower edge. 19th century dentilled cornice and shaped gables, originals on west gable main block and east projecting wing. Several Tudor style moulded chimney shafts. Two original openings, one blocked, in east façade. Initials 'CS' on drainpipe heads. Extensive later rear alterations.
Information from (S2).
E. Rose (NAU), 10 August 1984.
June 1999.
Briefly seen; north shaped gable of east wing is also dated 1861, but its south gable as stated is of 1683. Among the outbuildings are some with brick from before about 1780 and some with later brick.
E. Rose (NLA), 27 June 1999.
(S3) and copy of (S4) in file.
