1947. Stray Find.
Leicester Lime Works at depth of just over a metre (3 feet 6 inches); site removed by grab -floor of pit now 20 feet [6m] below.
Rim of Middle Bronze Age overhanging rim urn and fragments of two other pots; no calcined bones reported but probably burials.
Sherds donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1952.113). See drawings (S1) and annotated sketches (S2) and (S3).

The "overhanging rim" sherd is from a Bronze Age Collared Urn and is described and figured in (S5).
