1949. Stray Find.
Found "a few fields from stone axehead at Locke Farm" [NHER 1494 or NHER 1501], around 500 yds [455m] north of Lodge Hill Farm:
Bronze Age copper alloy loop and ribbed palstave. Clark Class I, 6 inches [15cm] long, max width of blade 1.5 inches [35mm]. See sketch on (S1).

The object is recorded in the British Museum Bronze Age Index (S4) and the discovery is also noted in (S5) and (S6).
