The cropmarks of a large ring ditch (see above) of a possible Bronze Age or Iron Age date can be seen on aerial photographs (S1-S2). The feature measures approximately 30m in diameter with an approximate 0.8m ditch. The ring ditch may relate to the site of a large Bronze Age round barrow or possibly a Bronze Age to Iron Age circular enclosure.
