Full Description
Junction of St Benedict's Street, Dereham Road, Grapes Hill and Barn Road.
This gate was called 'Porta de Westwyk' in 18th of Edward I, and 'Westwyk Gate' in 21 and 39. Henry VI (see (S1)).
1160. Referred to as Bennet Gates.
1679. Gate tower repaired.
1746. Arch over St Benedict's Gate rebuilt.
