Summary

In 1970 three flint axeheads, one flint adze, nine stone axes, and one stone implement (all dated to the Neolithic period) were recovered from this area, and are thought to have been part of a collection which was thrown out.

These found at foot of tree.
Three flint axes, one flint adze, eight stone axes, one stone ?implement.
Another stone axe found 1ft (30cm) deep.
Petrology of 'implement' N.139 Olivine Dolerite (S1).

On southeast side of Salhouse Road in garden of the first house on the Norwich side of the Eiger Hotel, a fragment of a polished axe found in cutting a pipe trench, around May 1977.
Half an axe of mottled buff to chocolate brown flint, partially polished, (S2).
