Summary

This 16th and 17th century timber framed, wattle and daub thatched cottage was restored around 1980. It is now skinned with breezeblocks. There is an original diamond mullioned window in the east gable.

17th century two room thatched cottage.

Location supplied by [1] who says he believes the house to be earlier.
It has a half-cruck, and now has a 16th century timber framed extension brought from elsewhere.

House is now clad in breezeblocks!

February 1984. Listed, Grade II.
House named as Puddled Cottage. 16th and 17th century restored around 1980. Timber framed, wattle and daub skinned with breezeblocks. Two storeys. Doors and windows (replacement mullioned) of 1983. Bell based gabled roof to west, hipped to east, central stack. East gable retains one original diamond mullioned window. Bay west of door entirely of 1980s. Rebuilt and altered fireplace. Tension bracing at corners. Tie beam roof with queen struts, collars and clasped purlins.

Local people did not know name Puddled Cottage in 1985 except one man who thought it was the same as this building (house empty at time). Probably same building, (S1) has got restoration a few years out.
