Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs and on the ground. Prehistoric flint flakes have been found on the site. The barrow is close to other Bronze Age barrows in the area, see NHER 3624 and NHER 3626.

40m diameter, 1.5m high; ditch.
Flint flakes on it.

January 1936.
Found by A. Q. Watson and J. E. Sainty.

14 June 1936.

Ploughed up 1941.

Sited below crest of hill on heath.
Mound 21m diam, 1.5m high.
Ditch, deepest on northwest, 4m wide, about 75cm deep.
Low outer bank, 2m wide, 30cm high on northwest, 3m wide, 40cm deep on southeast.
Covered with bracken, bramble and elders.
