Summary

This elaborate church mostly dates to the 14th century including the nave and chancel. There is one earlier window in the north aisle. The base of tower is older than the rest of the structure. The rest of the church is in Perpendicular style. There are especially fine carvings in the roof.

Elaborate church. Nothing visible that can be dated to before 14th century - see NHER 6415 for claim of earlier church on older site - except perhaps a stoup bowl. Present chancel, nave doors 14th century, base of tower older than rest. Remainder all Perpendicular, perhaps more than one campaign of work, fine carvings, especially the roof. Brick and stone spire. Good memorials; woodwork of various dates.
