Summary

A mound or barrow has been recorded at this location along with a pit. The mound, which originally stood 2ft high was felt to be Bronze Age in date. However, excavation of it in 1933 provided no conclusive evidence for a date or function. Ploughing in 1955 reduced the height, and the mound was not visible on the most recent visit to the site in 1983.
