Summary

Part of a Bronze Age copper alloy dagger possibly made from the end of a rapier was found here in around 1960.

Found at approximately TL 6873 9665:
Bronze Age copper alloy dagger with two rivet holes (one broken), possibly made from end of rapier. See drawings (S1)-(S3).
Seen by B. Green (NCM) and T.H. Mck Clough (NCM) 1969.
Information from (S4).
Subsequently donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1994.12.9).
As noted below a rapier butt and a number of Neolithic implements previously recorded as having been found at this location are now believed to have been recovered in the field to the south - see NHER 23660.

'Burnt hearth like patches' reported after first ploughing around 1950.

The alternative findspot mentioned above is only a few yards to the south and is somewhat vague.
