1946. Stray Find.
Found in field on west side of Mill Drove, Blackborough End, during deep ploughing for sugar beet:
1 Neolithic/Bronze Age lower stone of saddle quern.
Small bolster stone found apart from quern. Of hard quartz sandstone with numerous mica flecks, small vein of quartz running across it.
This discovery was reported in (S1) and the saddle quern itself is now held by Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1946.188).
