Summary

A Roman puddingstone quern was reported as being on a farm in 1950. Also at this time a stray find of an undated brooch was reported.

Puddingstone quern found but not preserved.

However in 1950 This quern was noted in a barn at the farm; it had an iron rim in the centre hole and a band of iron round the topstone; it was this band that was not preserved. A boy found a 'brooch' here also but lost it again (see file under 1323).
