Summary

An undated trackway, which was ploughed up in the early 20th century, and is now visible as a faint earthwork. The trackway has been restored by the Forestry Commission.

H.D. Hewitt (NCM) claimed it continued on TL 98 SE to 9660 8353.
Section north of sites NHER 6102 and NHER 6103 visible as faint linear feature earthwork 0.50m high, 5m wide; no longer in use as track.
J.J. Wymer (NAU) and E. Rose (NLA) 4 January 1991.

The section mentioned by J.J. Wymer (NAU) above is still a public right of way and has now been restored by the Forest Authority as a green track, except the extreme northeast end.

The earthworks of parts of this section of trackway are visible on aerial photographs across the heath (S1) and is depicted on Faden’s map of 1797 (S2). It was decided not to map the earthworks visible along this route given that it has been reinstated as a green trackway.
