Summary

This 16th century timber frame building has an 18th century red brick facade with parapet. The building has two storeys, an attic and five bays. The central three bays project. The timber frame is exposed inside. To the rear is an 18th century extension with a Dutch gable end.

However inside there is a roll moulded beam of early 16th century type, and a crownpost roof.

November 1951 . Listed, Grade II*.
16th century timber frame. Red brick 18th century facade with parapet. Moulded brick modillion cornice and string course. Two storeys and attic. 1:3:1 bays, centre slightly projecting with parapet and round window. Central doorway with entablature. Sash windows. Large north stack to pantile roof. Timber frame exposed on interior with crownpost roof on arched braces. Dutch gabled wing to rear dated as early 18th century. One very good ground floor panelled room. Shell alcoves beside fireplace and good entrance door.
