Summary

Surface collection at this site during 1975-76 recovered a huge number of Neolithic/Bronze Age flints including flakes, retouched flakes, a rejuvenator, cores, picks, scrapers, blades, a notch and a borer. This seems to be a Neolithic or Bronze Age flint working site. Subsequent finds include a post medieval coin and items of Roman, medieval and post-medieval metalwork.

Surface collection of flint within area of former OS Field 281 (now Context 1):
Includes two hundred and twenty-four flakes, eleven retouched flakes, one rejuvenator, eleven cores, two picks, sixteen scrapers, twelve blades, one notch, one pointed blade and one borer.
Most material rolled and little in mint condition as one might expect from the surface of a ploughed field. Possible site of Neolithic/Bronze Age flint industry?
