Field called Giltcross but no trace of cross.

On the Award seems to be same as land lying 'juxta crucem de Brigham super le crouch furlong' (information from P. K. Schram) from the time of Edward III, deeds at Norfolk House Box XI number 19; and possibly the 'krosseworg' mentioned in Ely Register (Cott. Claud CXI fol.248 (b) from the time of Edward I) see (S1).
