Summary
A Roman ditch was discovered during the building of a new boiler house. The ditch contained fragments of 2nd century AD Roman pottery, animal bone and Roman quern.

Full Description
14 October 1960. Found in constructing new boiler house.
Small ditch 90cm (3 feet) wide. Contained 2nd century Roman pot sherds, animal bones, lava quern fragment.
