Summary

During the 1970's, a variety of objects were recovered from the surface of this field. These consist of Prehistoric flint artefacts, including a Neolithic flint knife, a Roman coin, and medieval and post medieval pottery sherds.

Silver denarius of Commodus found on ploughed surface. Date AD 192 (RIC 235?).
Information via KLM. Recorded on HER Record Card (S1).
Reported in published bulletin (S2) and Ordnance Survey Record Card (S3).

May 1977. Stray Find [2].
Prehistoric flint flakes, cores, scrapers, hammerstone.
These include an amber coloured Neolithic flint knife, 7cm long, 6cm broad, 1cm thick (held by King's Lynn Museum KILLM: 1974.60)
Medieval and post medieval sherds, including rim sherd of Grimston jug.
