Summary

A 14th century church, replacing an earlier church mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. Only the chancel and a 19th century vestry are roofed, the nave and west tower being in ruins. The church fell into disuse after the nave roof fell in about 1660. The chancel was repaired in 1705 and returned to use, but by 1980, the building was again disused. However, there is now an annual Thanksgiving service in the chancel, organised by the Tunstall Church Preservation Trust.
