Summary

A deserted medieval village, mentioned in Domesday book. The village was apparently abandoned in the 18th century; there are some references to a church, hall and cottages but nothing now remains. Some 17th/18th century pottery has been found.

NB. Allison mentions buildings and pottery.
Informant (Ashby Hall) says that they were 17th/18th century cottages (two) TG 4195 1591 and pot of a similar date (both recorded as NHER 11736).
