Summary

A post medieval stone cross, moved to its present position in front of The Boundary public house in 1927 after having been restored in 1902. 1.5m of the octagonal shaft is original, with the date 1732 scratched on its east side. Where the current cross was located prior to being moved stood an earlier medieval cross known as St Faith's Cross or The Whyte Crosse.

St Faith's Cross or the Whytecrosse stood in the highway towards Horsham St Faith's and may be identified as the predecessor of the cross now standing at Mile Cross and a few years ago moved a few yards so as to be in front of the inn recently erected.
The old cross is called 'le Whyte Cross' in a charter of 1566.
The present cross was restored in 1902.
1.5m (5 feet) of the shaft are original.
It is octagonal with alternative sides moulded vertically.
TG 2174 11552 Boundary Inn was built and the cross moved to its present position in 1927.
The restored cross stands in the front of Boundary Inn.
The lower part of the shaft is original and scratched on its east side is the date '1732'. The shaft tapers, measuring at base 0.3m between faces and at the top 0.2m. The total height of the restored cross is 4.2m.
