Large glass urn with lid, Flavian, AD 69 to 96 originally containing cremation.

Found on John Watt's Land near Mr Thompson's Farm on left hand side of road from Hockwold to Blackdyke. Found in mound; human skeleton 61cm (2ft) from top; 30cm (1ft) below this, 5 urns full of bones (pottery urns); fen level eached at 1.5m (5ft) deep with this glass urn full of ashes and bones on a wooden stage.
R.R. Clarke (NCM) noted 'many articles' and 'Grange Farm Site' (NHER 5316).
[1] dates as late 1st to early 2nd century glass, ?from Italy; compare with example in (S1).
