Summary

In 1951 a Mesolithic or later quartzite perforated pebble macehead was found on farmland close to Blickling Hall. Previously recorded under NHER 5115.

Found in farmyard north of church:
1 prehistoric quartzite macehead. Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1952.81). Information from (S1).
Although originally recorded as ?Bronze Age, this object is listed in (S2) as a potentially Mesolithic pebble macehead. Such objects are however generally not seen as closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.
Previously recorded under NHER 5115 (Context 1).
